About
I'm Shaun. I write here about engineering work I have actually done. Most posts are notes on running language models locally, building small self-hosted tools, and the unglamorous parts of putting infrastructure together at home or for small teams.
I am UK based. My day job is running a small AI consultancy for UK SMEs, which keeps me close to the practical side of where this technology actually lands inside a working business. This site is the personal counterpart to that work, kept deliberately separate, and treated as a laboratory rather than a shop window.
About this domain
The husarlabs.com domain previously belonged to a Polish software development company that was active in the late twenty tens, working primarily on Go and Kubernetes tooling. The original team has moved on. I picked the domain up because it had a clean record, a sensible technical history, and a name I liked.
I have kept the engineering character of the site intentionally. The original Husar Labs wrote about backend systems and infrastructure. The new Husar Labs writes about local AI infrastructure and self-hosted software. Different decade, similar concerns.
Contact
The best way to reach me is by email, which I will add to this page once I have set up a sensible address for the domain. Until then, the consultancy contact form is the cleanest route.
